RISMEDIA, September 4, 2007-Realogy Corporation and PHH Mortgage, a subsidiary of PHH Corporation (NYSE: PHH), have announced the donation of $596,000 to be divided among eight outstanding charities including: the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Easter Seals, Food Bank of South Jersey, Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Samaritan Hospice. The funds were raised at The Charity Golf Classic (TCGC) held at the Seaview Marriot Resort and Spa in Galloway, N.J. This year’s fundraising total marks the largest charitable donation in the eight years that the two companies have hosted the event.”TCGC is our signature event to give back to the communities where we work and live and to have raised more money this year than any other year is outstanding,” stated Terry Edwards, president and chief executive officer of PHH Corporation and PHH Mortgage. “We are extremely proud to contribute to these outstanding organizations that benefit so many of our neighbors.”
Established in 2000, the event raises funds for charities supported by PHH Mortgage and Realogy Corporation. In just eight years, the event has raised and distributed $3.3 million to charitable organizations. This year’s event featured PGA Tour champion and Hall of Fame member Johnny Miller, LPGA Tour member Angie Rizzo, and Suzy Whaley, the first woman to qualify for a PGA Tour event since 1945. The pros co-hosted a golf clinic, participated in the tournament, and assisted former New York Giants tight end, Howard Cross, with the live charity auction.
