RISMEDIA, Sept. 18, 2007-The New York Jets announced that Realogy Corporation, a provider of real estate and relocation services, and its subsidiary companies Burgdorff ERA and Cartus will become the title sponsors for all of the Jets community relations programs.
In addition to supporting the New York Jets Foundation’s extensive community initiatives, the sponsorship will also include an in-game video board feature presented by Realogy and Burgdorff ERA called “Jets Good Guy of the Week.” The feature will recognize New York Jets player activities in the community from hospital and school visits to food and clothing drives and more.
“Realogy, Burgdorff ERA and Cartus have a longstanding tradition of supporting important causes,” said New York Jets President Jay Cross. “That is why we are so excited that they have chosen to sponsor the numerous charitable programs supported by the New York Jets Foundation. Together, we will continue to make a difference in disadvantaged communities throughout the tri-state area. We look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
“We are excited to be a partner with the New York Jets team and their outreach initiatives in the communities we serve,” said Dave Weaving, Realogy’s chief administrative officer. “We are equally proud to be working with the Jets on the relocation of their people and operations into New Jersey in 2008.”
Programs funded by the New York Jets Foundation touch the lives of countless young men and women in the tri-state area. Over the past seven years, the Jets and their charitable foundation have donated or contributed more than $7 million to promote youth health, fitness and education, particularly in disadvantaged communities. From fighting childhood obesity through the Generation Jets: Be Lean & Green initiative to launching a football team in a Harlem high school, urging students in the Bronx to eat right and move
more, or supporting the efforts of the Alliance for Lupus Research, the New York Jets make investments that make a difference in the lives of others.
In addition to the Jets Foundation which supports our own extensive youth initiatives throughout the tri-state area, the Jets partner with numerous established charitable organizations and participate in causes sponsored by the NFL.
