RISMEDIA, August 13, 2008-Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® has named Patrick C. (Pat) Riley to its board of directors to serve a two-year term. Riley, president/COO of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Allen Tate Company, fills a seat vacated by H. Allen Tate, Jr., who recently retired from the board based on his current focus on non-brokerage development activities.

According to the company, Riley will continue the legacy created by Allen Tate, a principal catalyst in the formation of LeadingRE in 1997, when multiple networks of independent firms were consolidated to create the organization.

Riley began his career in real estate in 1972 and joined the Allen Tate Company in 1991. He guides all aspects of the 51-year old company as the region’s industry leader. Under his direction, the company posted sales of more than $6 billion in 2007 and ranks fourth among America’s top 500 largest independently owned, non-franchised brokers and eighth among all residential real estate companies.
