HomeSmart Realty Continues to Expand with Acquisition of HomeWay Realty in Tucson, Arizona

RISMEDIA, June 19, 2009-HomeSmart Realty in Phoenix, Arizona continues to buck the nationwide real estate brokerage downsizing trend with its purchase of HomeWay Realty of Tucson, Arizona on June 1.. This represents the acquisition of a second major real estate brokerage in as many years and is in keeping with HomeSmart’s nationwide expansion campaign of acquiring at least one major brokerage annually.

According to the company, since opening in January of 2000 with just two agents, HomeSmart Realty has enjoyed tremendous success by growing to over 3,400 agents in just nine years. Such unparalleled growth has catapulted HomeSmart to rank as the largest real estate brokerage in the southwestern U.S. and among the top ten brokerages in the country.

The success that has fueled HomeSmart’s nationwide growth is primarily attributable to a unique combination of benefits that HomeSmart agents enjoy, says the company. HomeSmart agents receive 100% of their commissions and have very low transaction fees. This and a miniscule $25 monthly fee leave HomeSmart agents able to keep so much more of their gross real estate income.

Moreover, every HomeSmart agent receives a company-provided direct phone number as well as a separate e-fax phone line for submission of all transaction documents to corporate headquarters. Online transaction management between the corporate office and each agent is also a big advantage for HomeSmart agents in providing accurate accounting of the documentation associated with each transaction.

According to the company, it is HomeSmart’s dedication to utilizing the latest technology that makes transaction management so efficient and helps keep company costs and, hence, agent fees so low.

“Technology sets us apart,” says Matt Widdows, owner and president of HomeSmart. “Even with over 3,400 agents and growing, we are able to provide our agents an ever-expanding array of tools and benefits due to the efficiencies provided by HomeSmart’s technological savvy. This gives HomeSmart agents a considerable edge in the current challenging real estate market.”

Add to this mix the substantial number of courses offered free to all HomeSmart agents at the company’s HomeSmart University as well as the free in-house marketing department that agents utilize. Providing all of the tools, technology, and support an agent could wish for at an extraordinarily low fee, it’s small wonder that HomeSmart and so many of its agents are so successful.
