RISMEDIA, November 12, 2010—Thousands of dollars in down-payment assistance funds are unused in communities around the nation, mostly due to lack of awareness about these programs. Eligible home buyers can benefit from federal, state and local grants if they know what’s available in their market.

There’s also some misperceptions about the types of buyers these programs can help, so many of these grants are going unused.”
