Power Broker is the term used by RISMedia that has now become synonymous within the residential real estate industry to describe the leading brokerage firms and their respective management teams that dominate the housing sector. Each year, RISMedia surveys more than 1,200 of the industry’s leading brokerage firms, ranking these companies by transaction and sales volume, and publishes the results in its Annual Power Broker Report & Survey. Each year, in conjunction with the National Association of REALTORS® Conference & Expo, RISMedia hosts The Power Broker Dinner to honor the industry’s leading executives and their firms.
Throughout the years many of the industry’s most influential leaders have been honored with leadership awards at the Power Broker Dinner, including Ron Peltier, Chairman and CEO of HomeServices of America; Dave Liniger, Chairman and Co-Founder of RE/MAX; Alex Perriello, President and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group; Howard “Hoddy” Hanna, Chairman and CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services; Ron Croushore, Owner of Prudential Preferred Realty; and Ed Krafchow, Chairman of the Board for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Mason-McDuffie, among many others. Now in its 18th year, the Power Broker Dinner is widely regarded as the year’s premier gathering of brokerage owners and executives.
The 2013 Power Broker Reception & Dinner will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Westin Market Street in San Francisco.
