Engel & Völkers North America announced the official launch of its newest premium brokerage in Ottawa, marking the occasion with a grand opening celebration held at their Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central shop, located at 1433 Wellington Street West. The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a reception at Beckta Dining & Wine Bar, located at 150 Elgin Street, Ottawa.

Presiding over the event was John King, Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central owner and Broker of Record, as well as top Engel & Völkers representatives. Brief presentations were made by Anthony Hitt, Engel & Völkers North America CEO, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Tim O’Brien, Special Olympics athlete.

“We are happy to be celebrating this official launch, which further pronounces our partnership with John and his team,” says Hitt. “The team has established themselves as the leading providers of premium real estate service in Ottawa, which makes them the perfect addition to our North American and worldwide network.”

Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central opened its doors in June 2016, hitting the ground running with the listing of multi-Grammy winning artist Alanis Morissette. Morrisette’s 11th floor condo unit – located in the heart of downtown Ottawa – received local and national attention and sold within a few weeks.

“Ottawa is increasingly attracting international buyers and sellers; as Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central, our local expertise and reputation will be enhanced with unmatched international reach,” says King. “The Engel & Völkers brand aligns with the image of our existing office and team. Most importantly, Engel & Völkers allows us to differentiate ourselves with a high-end, international brand in a highly saturated market.”
With shops in Toronto, Markham, King City, Collingwood, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Mont Tremblant, Montreal, Bromont and now Ottawa; and, in the U.S. with Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Lake Tahoe, Houston, St. George, South Charlotte, Minneapolis and New York City, Engel & Völkers continues to strengthen its presence in premium real estate markets across North America. Additionally, Engel & Völkers continues to expand throughout Canada with planned openings in several new markets.
