The Next Big Thing in Real Estate Video

Automated Market Videos, developed by VScreen, is being described by some as the best video marketing tool for real estate since the virtual tour was introduced over a decade ago. The platform is powered by respected metrics provider, Terradatum, Inc., and the combination of these two industry forces offers viewers an instant and impressive video summary of local market conditions by simply entering the desired zip code or neighborhood.

A Market Analysis Video that includes key data elements like active inventory, median listing price, days on market, median sale price and number of units sold is instantly and automatically generated. The video explains these metrics through the use of easy to understand narration, charts and graphs.

VScreen’s CEO, Stephen Schweickart, says that real estate brokers should “think of each Market Video as a giant multimedia puzzle that is made up of about 10,000 individual video pieces…and then assembled on the fly, based on that month’s data for each specific neighborhood.”

The result is a seamlessly automated video marketing and information tool, which brokers can privately brand and make available to the public via their websites, YouTube, and social media outlets including Facebook and Twitter. And because the data is automatically updated every month, Market Videos are uniquely effective as part of an ongoing drip campaign to keep the broker’s brand before the public in a practical and effective manner.

According to Terradatum’s CEO, Mark Spraetz, “This partnership brings together a truly engaging solution that brokerage firms can offer visitors to their website. The end result is the best of both worlds…accurate, up to date market conditions from a broker’s singular best source – their MLS – packaged in a powerful and entertaining video format.”

Leveraging SmartVideo software created by New York-based SundaySky, Market Videos harness the search engine optimization power of video, which is up to 53 times more likely to rank on the first page of Google than any other form of content. Once a video shows up on Google’s universal results page, Schweickart states that it typically provides a 41 percent higher click thru rate versus pictures and conventional static link results for the same search term. Schweickart goes on to say that when a visitor clicks on a video thumbnail, which takes them to the website where the video is embedded, the video will engage and usually keep them there up to 6 times longer than if the same clip were not present, enhancing the likelihood of capturing the visitor as a lead.

Following a preliminary beta release, Market Videos were quickly embraced by a number of leading brokerages across the nation. Brokerages that are interested in being the first real estate company to offer Market Videos within their area can sign up for the Market Videos program today exclusively through Terradatum.
