Technology Use Sees Steady Growth among Real Estate Professionals

realtor_technologyAs any real estate professional will tell you, keeping up with and utilizing technology can be an overwhelming proposition. However, Beth Young, vice president of the realty segment at PropertyInfo Corporation—a Stewart company—knows firsthand just how important it is to have the right tools and systems in place. In fact, she is now responsible for the company’s real estate broker and MLS/Association technology services, working closely with their customers in order to keep technology adoption rates growing, specifically when it comes to their transaction management system SureClose®.

A former SureClose user herself, Young started working with a title company in the early ’90s before transitioning to a real estate brokerage where she oversaw transaction coordination in addition to handling all of the files from transaction contract to close. “Being an actual SureClose user enables me to provide credibility to our customers,” says Young. “I have a real understanding of what customers are facing when it comes to converting from a paper-based system to a digital system, which enables me to speak their language and bridge the gap.”

While SureClose plays a big part in making the entire real estate operation more efficient, the system is also the ultimate when it comes to compliance, thanks to the security and tracking that goes on automatically behind the scenes. In addition, now more than ever, customers have begun to recognize the system’s ability to provide transparency to the transaction process, as well as access to other parties. Young and her entire team work closely with their customers during the initial setup phase in order to help them think through the entire transaction and automate each step in the transaction process. The system also provides an easy way for REALTORS® to keep their clients top of mind throughout the transaction. “It isn’t always practical for busy REALTORS® to call their clients with multiple updates throughout the day, so it is helpful that the site can automate email or text updates for them,” says Young. “Not only does this give REALTORS® the ability to handle multiple transactions, it provides their client with peace of mind because they feel like they are being taken care of.”
