Perriello_Alex_headshot_2013Realogy Holdings Corp. announced that Alex Perriello, president and chief executive officer of the Realogy Franchise Group, will be recognized as the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Person of the Year during the AREAA 2014 National Convention, September 5-7 in Las Vegas.

“We are proud of this recognition of Alex’s leadership and commitment to aligning our franchise brands with the business interests of AREAA,” said Richard A. Smith, Realogy’s chairman, chief executive officer and president.  “We value our relationship with AREAA as we and the industry capitalize on the growing business opportunities inherent in the changing demographics of our country.”

Perriello, who has served as the Realogy Franchise Group’s president and CEO since 2004, is widely recognized as a real estate industry leader and keen observer in the areas of policy and market trends. A strong proponent of AREAA, he has been a speaker at the trade organization’s annual conventions for the past five years.

“I am honored to receive AREAA’s Person of the Year award,” said Perriello. “We appreciate their efforts to promote and educate real estate professionals, which in turn helps our franchisees and their affiliated sales professionals better serve the Asian American community.”

AREAA recognized Perriello with this honor because of his unparalleled commitment to the organization’s goals of sustainable homeownership for the Asian American Pacific Islander community.

“Having Alex Perriello so involved in our organization’s initiatives is really telling about the close partnership that our organization has with Realogy’s franchise brands including CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, and Sotheby’s International Realty,” said Ivan Choi, 2014 AREAA national chair. “Alex has made it a priority to help grow Asian American homeownership opportunities and it reflects on the involvement that these brands have pursued in AREAA’s events such as the Global and Luxury Summit, the National Convention, and National Policy Day.”

Founded in 2003, AREAA is a nonprofit professional trade organization dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities by creating a powerful national voice for housing and real estate professionals that serve this dynamic market.
