RISMEDIA, Feb. 9, 2007-The First American Corporation, one of America's largest providers of business information, announced that Philip C. Johnsen, has been named executive vice president of sales for the company's Default Information Services group of companies. Filling the position previously held by Johnsen, Joni H. Pierce will now serve as chief operating officer for First American Residential Value View.
"Phil and Joni are both proven leaders with extensive experience in sales, marketing and operations," said Chris Leavell, chief operating officer of First American Default Information Services. "Their expertise and insight will be invaluable in helping to shape our products and services as we continue to expand the breadth and depth of our overall offerings."
In his new position, Johnsen will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for First American's Default Information Services group, which is comprised of a number of product and service companies that fall into three broad categories: outsourcing, title and property services. He has 20 years of sales and marketing experience, and also is skilled in training, operations and call center management. Johnsen joined the company in 2002 as vice president, sales and marketing for First American Residential Value View, a position he held for three years before being promoted to chief operating officer in 2005.
Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and an MBA from the University of Utah. A resident of Riverton, Utah, he also is an active member of the Mortgage Banker's Association.
Pierce, who has more than 15 years of organizational leadership, operations and product management experience, joined First American in January 2006 when she was named chief quality officer. Her prior experience includes management of multiple product lines at 3M Corporation and United Health Group, and 10 years as operations manager with Medical Review Institute of America.
With a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Utah, Pierce currently serves as a marketing instructor for the MBA program at Webster University in Salt Lake City. She is a resident of West Jordan, Utah.
