Engel & Völkers North America officially launched its first South Carolina brokerage in Hilton Head Island, marking the occasion with a ribbon-cutting event at their storefront and a grand opening celebration afterwards. The new shop is led by longtime Hilton Head REALTOR® Rick Turner and will provide the firm’s global standard of premium service as Engel & Völkers Hilton Head Island – Bluffton.
Close to one hundred guests attended the ribbon cutting and reception event held at the shop’s location on 800 Main Street. Guests included Anthony Hitt, CEO of Engel & Völkers North America; Bill Harkins, Mayor Pro-Temp of Hilton Head; Charlie Clark, vice president of Communications, Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce; and Kathy Cramer, program director, SOAR Special Recreation in Hilton Head. Representing Special Olympics, Engel & Völkers’ cause-marketing partners locally and nationwide, were Rashawn Young, captain of Team USA Equestrian and gold and bronze medalist at the World Games Greece 2011; Scott Truitt, 3×3 SC gold medalist and State Champion in Basketball; Meghan Witherly, gold and silver medalist tennis player at the 2015 World Games LA; and Matt Rocca, USBC Special Olympics State Unified SC State Champion in Basketball and gold medalist.
“We are proud to be officially introducing our new Engel & Völkers Hilton Head brokerage at this grand opening event,” said Hitt. “Rick and his team possess unmatched expertise, aligning perfectly with Engel & Völkers’ reputation of premium services worldwide, and home sellers and buyers will get a chance to experience it here in this extraordinary market.”
The event also marked the introduction of the brand’s unique boutique real estate shop design to the market, which is recognized throughout its international locations as the symbol of quality real estate service. The Engel & Völkers Hilton Head Island – Bluffton shop is over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with technology that includes a VoIP phone system for easy global calling, ShopTV, which streams listings from the brand’s international markets and Apple TV for presentations throughout the building. An innovation in real estate office design, the interior is an open concept to foster collaboration and teamwork.
“As Engel & Völkers we are able to meet the growing international activity in the market with the support of the brand’s expansive international network and world-class marketing platforms and technology,” said Turner. “This grand opening event is a true celebration of the innovation and higher standards of service we are bringing to the real estate market here.”
Unlike the typical beachfront vacation town, Hilton Head Island and Bluffton present buyers with a vibrant community that offers outdoor activities with a beach lifestyle as well as a good network of schools, churches, and civic and cultural organizations. As the area begins to experience increasing attention from global buyers, Engel & Völkers offers a unique international network and strong support system capable of seamlessly connecting sellers of premier properties with buyers from around the globe.
With shops in San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Lake Tahoe, Houston, Atlanta, Boston, Aspen, Minneapolis, Richmond and New York City, and in Canada, Toronto, Markham, King City, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Montreal, Engel & Völkers continues to strengthen its presence in the premium real estate market across North America. Additionally, Engel & Völkers continues to expand throughout the United States with planned openings in several new markets.
