Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty kicked off its inaugural meeting of the REthink Council recently at Biscotti’s in Avondale. The council is designed to bring together millennials from the company’s branch offices to discuss insights, issues and trends in the Northeast Florida area.
“This initiative demonstrates an innovative and thoughtful approach to the business of real estate,” says Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda Sherrer. “To find success in real estate, it is important to collaborate, learn and grow from one another.”
The local chapter is part of a larger national initiative by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices to promote collaboration and networking with an emphasis on sharing millennial perspectives on real estate and bridging communication gaps.
“We recognize how important it is to embrace the Generation Y perspective of residential real estate,” says Broker/Executive Vice President Christy Budnick. “This understanding is vital for agents looking to join an innovative brokerage, and for consumers looking to purchase a home from a company that understands how to best serve them.”
The council is under the direction of Ann King, Broker/manager of the St. Augustine branch office and Kevin Waugaman, Managing Broker of the Ponte Vedra/Nocatee branch office.
“Through regular meetings, the council will offer networking and programming events covering industry topics such as leadership, technology, best practices and culture,” Waugaman says.
The inaugural meeting featured a program highlighting the company’s technology tools and platforms focused on optimizing SEO and social media channels.
“Our events are designed to showcase fresh new ideas and give our agents an opportunity to look at the business from a different angle,” King says. “We want to provide valuable information so our agents can take their business to the next level.”
Although the first local REthink Council gathering met in Avondale, future meeting locations will rotate to venues throughout the Northeast Florida communities that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices serves.
