How Using Technology Helps Real Estate Companies Be More Profitable

RISMEDIA, Feb. 12, 2008-Having grown up in the real estate industry, Amanda DiVito of the DiVito Dream Makers, RE/MAX Alliance, understands the value of hard work, as inspired by her father, mentor, and fellow team member, Joe DiVito. So when it comes to making the most of her time with clients in today’s competitive business, she also knows the true value of working with service providers that can help her do just that-be able to uphold her standards to leave a lasting impression on clients.

With a team of three, the DiVito Dream Makers serve the Denver, Colorado area utilizing the latest products in technology. To align their initiatives with the services they provide to their clients, the DiVito Dream Makers partnered with eNeighborhoods after hearing about the company at a RE/MAX convention several years back.

“eNeighborhoods was the first tool of its kind that offered demographic and school information. We realized it was a one-stop source for crime statistics,” says DiVito. “eNeighborhoods breaks it down for real estate agents to put into a presentation for clients.” eNeighborhoods, a division of Dominion Enterprises, compiles real-estate related home and neighborhood information into a high-impact, colorful presentation for print, e-mail or online delivery.

Using this data, she enhances her listing presentations with valuable U.S. Census data-everything from demographic information by neighborhood, school information, cost-of-living, crime statistics, and other information.

“The presentation is really slick, too,” says DiVito. “The layout and the look of the report-it’s not confusing; it’s clean and easy to read. And it has always been straight forward-very easy-and it allows you to convert presentations to PDFs that are easy to e-mail if a client wants to review it before I bring it out to the house.”

For the DiVito Dream Makers, the overall packaged presentation includes information in the front of the packets. Inside, in addition to the demographics and statistics, it also includes maps with aerials and pre-written content that is useful to buyers and sellers in today’s market.

“We have a large, three-ring buyer/seller consultation packet that we go through with our buyers and sellers prior to the listing that includes the initial interview packet; some of it includes information from eNeighborhoods,” says DiVito.

“They put our contact information and logo on every page. Everything is easy to read with a clear font and the pages aren’t too crammed. It’s a really easy piece to glance at when you’re in a house. It’s clean, crisp and concise.”

“It’s also nice when other real estate agents do a deal with us; they know they’re dealing with a professional,” says DiVito. “I just remember thinking they’ve got these pre-written helpful steps for buyers and sellers. People like this information because eNeighborhoods prepared it and I don’t have to spend time writing up content that’s available off the Website.”

For example, says DiVito, there’s a section on understanding the buying process. These articles provide step-by-step information all ready for the agent to provide to their client. What’s more, DiVito finds eNeighborhoods especially valuable for her home sellers.

“We tell our home sellers that we can prepare a booklet from eNeighborhoods to help sell their home. I’m giving them access to good tools that can help get the listing sold.”

As DiVito puts it, these presentations are “brownie points” for agents in today’s market. Ultimately, the highlight of working with eNeighborhoods is the impression that it leaves with her clients.

“It’s comfort food,” says DiVito. “Clients feel like you put a lot of time into the presentation. They expect this kind of effort out of us.”
