‘PeopleFlasher’ iPhone Communicator and Translator Released for 99 Cents

RISMEDIA, December 8, 2009—In support of the international nature of its membership of 10,000 in 29 countries, the Real Estate CyberSpace Society has developed a unique iPhone application called PeopleFlasher that will help real estate and business professionals as well as the public create visual communication anywhere in the world and in any language.

According to Executive Director John Peckham, PeopleFlasher can be used anytime a user wants to communicate clearly, instantly and vividly—across the room, across the street or around the world.

Peckham said, “Picture yourself in Paris needing to know where the bank is. Imagine that, even if you have a regular translating program on your iPhone, you’d probably bumble through the native tongue and get strange stares rather than instant answers.”

“PeopleFlasher to the rescue,” he continued. “With this useful application, users can turn their iPhone into a highly visible, easy-to-read flashing sign that displays a typed message. PeopleFlasher even knows what country you are in and, at your option, flashes your message in any one of over 40 languages.”

Peckham thinks that PeopleFlasher is better than most of the handheld translators that are priced at $70 to $690 and better than even the talking translators. “You don’t need to stop a stranger to listen to the device—your question or comment is clearly readable—and in their language. They love it and their faces light up.”

PeopleFlasher boasts dozens of built in messages, or “flashes” in six categories including “Greetings,” “Dining,” “Travel,” and more. Want to catch someone’s attention? PeopleFlasher is hard to ignore. Need your check in a hurry? You can let the waiter know with PeopleFlasher, Peckham says.

According to the company, users can create their own flashes on the fly, set up their own categories and a favorites list too—either from the built-in flashes or their own special custom flashes. And for even quicker “instant flashes,” users can assign and customize up to 6 “Quick Flash” tabs. They can select their own flash language. Even though with GPS activated, PeopleFlasher will select your flash language appropriately and automatically, the user can also manually select the flash language at anytime. Peckham adds, “You’re in a Thai Restaurant – go ahead and dazzle the staff by flashing ‘Thank you’ in Thai.

Users can also engage a worldwide audience of PeopleFlasher users by opting to flash their sign in real-time to all users around the world using PeopleFlasher’s “WorldFlash” feature. Peckham says “We designed PeopleFlasher to give users a continuous source of usefulness, entertainment and ideas.”

PeopleFlasher is available at the introductory price of 99 cents at the iPhone App Store, in iTunes. There is more information available at www.PeopleFlasher.com where visitors can view flashes from around the globe in real time.

Peckham concluded by saying, “We hope that PeopleFlasher users will enjoy the usefulness and camaraderie that this application creates as much as we have enjoyed developing PeopleFlasher and bringing it to iPhones worldwide.”
