Realogy Announces NAR REach Sponsorship of Its FWD Innovation Summit in San Francisco

Realogy Holdings Corp. recently y announced that REach®, a growth technology accelerator program founded by Second Century Ventures, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) strategic investment arm, will serve as a sponsor of the third annual Realogy FWD Innovation Summit (#RealogyFWD) on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in San Francisco at the Mission Bay Conference Center at the University of California, San Francisco.

“We believe FWD will give REach an early look at fresh new ideas and help create a pool of potential participants worthy of mentoring and capital investment,” says Alex Perriello, president and chief executive officer of the Realogy Franchise Group. “Several former REach accelerator participants have competed in past Realogy FWD Innovation Summits, so we are pleased to have REach on board to help us promote innovation and technology in real estate.”

Second Century Ventures (SCV) is an early-stage venture capital technology fund, backed by the NAR, focused on promoting innovation in the real estate industry and helping to enable the entrepreneurial spirit of real estate. SCV recently unveiled its 2015 REach Accelerator class, with seven companies – ranging from seed stage to well-capitalized start-ups backed by world-renowned investors – selected to receive education, mentorship and market exposure.

“This is a natural extension of our mission at REach, which is to help companies connect with the real estate industry,” says Constance Freedman, founder and managing director of REach. “Combined with Realogy’s significant market presence and the inherent benefits of the REach program to early stage technology companies, we hope to accelerate the identification process and help bring the very best ideas to fruition.”

Realogy will continue to accept applications through May 1, and a select group of participants will be invited to the FWD Innovation Summit. FWD features a competition with live demonstrations and a $25,000 cash prize for the company that presents the most innovative technology product or service designed for the real estate industry.

More information is available online at realogyfwd.com, including 2014 video highlights, a complete list of past participants and the FWD blog.
