Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate announced recently the addition of the first Connecticut-based real estate company, Bannon & Hebert, to its franchise network. The company will now do business as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Bannon & Hebert, led by broker owners Donna Bannon and Mary Ann Hebert, and will continue to serve its core towns of Middlebury, Southbury, Woodbury, Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Oxford and Thomaston.

“Our entry into Connecticut is an exciting milestone, and we are particularly pleased to continue our strategic growth with a team who aims toward the future while still maintaining their deep roots in the community,” says Sherry Chris, president and CEO, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. “From their outstanding commitment to ethical practices to their commendable business acumen, Donna Bannon and Mary Ann Hebert embody the core principles upon which Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate was founded.”

Long-time friends Bannon and Hebert will celebrate the brokerage’s 20th anniversary next year. As seasoned real estate veterans, the duo understands the intricacies of the home buying/selling process, and proudly serve on the ethics committee for their local board of REALTORS®.

“As soon as we learned of the multiple ways that Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate would help us capitalize on our strengths and continue to grow as a business, we didn’t consider affiliating with any other brand,” says Bannon. “The brand’s intranet technology, marketing tools and ongoing educational resources and business support puts everything we need right at our fingertips. As a boutique office, it’s extremely valuable to combine these resources along with the national name recognition that the brand will afford us.”

“We were looking for a brand partner that wasn’t going to just help us grow, but one that also valued integrity and reputation,” adds Hebert. “Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate closely aligns with these ideals, which will enable us and our affiliated team members to excel in catering to the needs of our clients.”

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Bannon & Hebert is staunchly committed to giving back locally through year-round charitable efforts, including active involvement in Waterbury Youth Services, serving as a drop-off point for the local food bank and hosting an annual coat drive. The company will continue to explore selective expansion, with a focus on building upon a team of real estate professionals that have a strong reputation and background. The founders personally evaluate each new recruit, with an emphasis on providing hands-on personal guidance to help them in their real estate careers.
